Our Services

No skate comes out of the box ready to go use, period. And, with continual use your equipment requires periodic servicing for optimal performance.

  • Quad Skate Services:

Mixing & matching boots and plates(trucks) can be confusing, our skate technicians can guide you to the right size plate for your boots. We also adjust and tighten trucks, replace bushings, change out and rotate wheels, and toe stops, and clean bearings for optimal performance of your equipment.
  • Inline Skate Services:

Be ready to roll. Wheels Rotation and routine bearing maintenance is necessary for optimal performance from your equipment. Take care to check break wear and replace the pad when necessary(if applicable). Rotate wheels often to keep hub profiles rounded for longer life. Replace wheels that are shaved on one side, worn flat nearing the hub, have cracked hubs, or are missing pieces of urethane. Bearings should be cleaned and re-lubed whenever you've gotten into water, or they sound dry or crunchy, or no longer spin freely.
  • Ice Blade Tuning:

All Ice Speed Skate Blades, including short track and long track, require to be tuned prior to skating. Tuning means: Radiused(rockered), Bent, and Sharpened. More often than not skate blades come from the factory with inconsistent radius(rocker), bend, and are typically not sharpened. Even blades advertised by manufactures as "factory tuned" or "factory bend" require tuning work. A factory bend or pre-bent blades is only referencing to the blades ability to hold a bend, and is not necessarily the bend you will skate on. Blade sharpening needs to be maintained routinely to get the best performance from your equipment. Let it go too long, and you be needing to re-radius your blades more often.
  • Custom Boot Services:

We are authorized custom boot molders for a number of popular speedskating brands. Our 2 decades of expertise, using proprietary castings techniques, will ensure your customer boots fit like they should. Each company we rep has different pricing tiers and boot model options. Contact our shop directly for more information on how to get your boots customer made.

For many years the JOHA brand has been famous with competition skaters. A completely new JOHA PRO jig has been designed for the professional skater. The new design meets all requirements.

JOHA PRO specifications:

  • Because of the special design of the three aluminium profiles, the blades are
exactly 90° degrees in relation to the sharpening stone.
  • The design in combination with modern technique of high pressure casting
has resulted in a very stable sharpening jig. The two sides are unique in
    shape and strength.
  • The 2 top stoppers, the so-called precision spacers can be set in 3 places.
    * Because of the large knobs the jig is quickly ready for use. This is a great
advantage if several pairs have to be sharpened.
  • Special anti slip rubbers. Although many skaters secure their sharpening jig
to the work bench, others bring the jig with them to competitions.
  • Almost all speed skates fit into the JOHA PRO.
  • With the front stopper one can accurately position the blades before
    sharpening.
