We're Skaters, just like you...

Let skateNOW's years of experience, knowledge, product technology, and business integrity, connect you to an enriched skating experience like no other.
No matter whether you come/go with skating sports, skateNOW will be there to satisfy your craving to glide with the latest technologies the sport has to offer upon your return to skating.
skateNOW disseminates educative information on product technologies and equipment maintenance, an effort aimed at helping empower customers further towards their own skating endeavors. To be the teacher is to be the student.

Your skateNOW Sensie, We learn from our valued customers

We all yearn to learn skating technique correctly. They say 'those who cannot, teach'...  We say 'those who can, do'. It's important to skateNOW to be not only the teacher, but also the student; we learn from you (our customers) about your goals and aspirations in skating sports. We promote skating through: guiding, teaching sport fundamentals, understanding and care of equipment, and skating etiquette.

Aim high, skate low. Through instruction technical skills are honed and elevated, and obtaining higher goals can be achieved - whether it is destroying a sun-vault move, or having you sights on gold medals.  Just as vital to the technical aspects of skating is an understanding of equipment and maintenance. We provide our customer insight to this coveted knowledge, not so they become gear geeks(though, that happens), but to present a better understanding of equipment, to eliminate any inhibitions about taking on routine tasks of tending to this pragmatic aspect of skating.

Our Goal

Strive for balance, agility, and strength in life, work, sport, and especially when on your skates.

For many years the JOHA brand has been famous with competition skaters. A completely new JOHA PRO jig has been designed for the professional skater. The new design meets all requirements.

JOHA PRO specifications:

  • Because of the special design of the three aluminium profiles, the blades are
exactly 90° degrees in relation to the sharpening stone.
  • The design in combination with modern technique of high pressure casting
has resulted in a very stable sharpening jig. The two sides are unique in
    shape and strength.
  • The 2 top stoppers, the so-called precision spacers can be set in 3 places.
    * Because of the large knobs the jig is quickly ready for use. This is a great
advantage if several pairs have to be sharpened.
  • Special anti slip rubbers. Although many skaters secure their sharpening jig
to the work bench, others bring the jig with them to competitions.
  • Almost all speed skates fit into the JOHA PRO.
  • With the front stopper one can accurately position the blades before
    sharpening.
